November 15, 2003.
HAVERHILL, MA -- England's MicroCreamery received two national awards at the 70th Annual National Ice Cream Retailers Association (NICRA) Convention in New Orleans, LA. England's MicroCreamery was awarded the Red Ribbon (second place) for its Vanilla Ice Cream and a White Ribbon (third place) for Strawberry Ice Cream.
The 2003 judging was conducted by a trained and experienced dairy scientist and ice cream experts under the direction of Dr. Chuck Boeneke of Louisiana State University. The ice cream samples were rigorously tested in a laboratory environment for a wide range of quality indicators such as flavor, body, texture, color, melting quality and bacterial counts.
